Well this is a perfect gentle trip back to the 1950’s with a 26km return trip behind a vintage 1914 steam locomotive through the picturesque Osterlen countryside in wonderful open veranda vintage coaches. An amazing volunteer enthusiast enterprise that is is well worth a visit and modesty priced too. Next time we will try the dining coach, that looked elegant step back in time.

Wonderful day out. Packed out so go early for a preferred parking slot. Trains, cars, lorries, tractors, mopeds and more and many turned up in vintage attire too. Very, very enjoyable.

Both kids (1.5 and 7 years old) loved to go by a train with steam engine. One direction was enough for the small one and there is one way tickets available.
