Interesting, even though it appears to be a simple building.

A beautiful little Theatre which is only accessed by guided tour lasting around 30 mins. In the Theatre itself our guide gave us an interesting talk about the operation of the place and who sat in the different boxes around the Theatre. King Gustav 3rd enjoyed participating and acting himself.

Surprisingly WAY MORE than I expected. It was really cool. Glad I took this tour before the castle which was overwhelmingly ornate. GO SEE THIS!

Drottningholms court theater is a baroque theater from the 18th century with an original machinery still in function today. The auditorium has been incredibly well preserved for 253 years. You can follow guided tours daily in 4 different languages or book special tours to visit backstage or to learn more about 18th century life style.

A great travel back in time in a very well preserved piece of history. The guided tour is absolutely marvelous, in a perfect English, and the nearby royal park is simply great! What would make this a truly great experience: a visit in the back-stage area to see first hand the very complicated machinery involved in stage performance.

The theatre is kept in its original shape with one of the oldest mechanisms still active to this day (around 250 years old)
