Driving through Gävle we ended up visiting the Indian Palace for lunch. What a great place - super good quality buffet, very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

A great Indian restaurant with good customer service. The food was really well cooked, everything has reasonable prices. A recommended restaurant to eat Indian lunch or dinner at!

Friendly good hearted people work here and will advice you on which dishes on the menu are mild or fiery hot. Just Ask! Note to restaurant: talk with the customers when you offer them the menu. Advice the customers on which dishes are mild and which dishes are spicy. Don’t assume that a spicy dish can be made mild with the addition of yogurt raitha as a side dish. It absolutely does not work for the Swedish palate. The tikka masala sauce and the cashew korma sauce also is mild. Mild as in flavorful and enjoyable. Whereas there are some dishes which can be too strong spicy even if it is diluted with yogurt. My recommendation to those unfamiliar: order a dish that is inherently mild and don’t order a dish that needs to be subdued with cream or yogurt. The evening’s meal consisted of: - starter: veg samosas - standard. The white sauce also is standard. I missed the green chutney and tamarind chutney that goes in hand in glove with samosas served back in my hometown. - main course: chicken thali - 3 varieties of chicken. Korma (mild) , Tikka masala (mild), and chicken spicy curry (super spicy). Served with naan bread, and rice. Should have also included a raitha and some salad to balance it out. Lacked garnish for presentation. Was nice to see an actual stainless steel thali plate. - dessert: kulfi. Was Good! - drink: Cobra Indian beer. Very good and was served nice n’ cold.

Well I am reading other pips comments and it seems that I went to a different restaurant. Food is ok, good not bad,but nothing more than that. Portions are big, while service is lousy. Prices are acceptable, they are in a rank of a eal restaurant\though I would not position them there if I add the cleanlinesss of the place on the top of it all. All in all an indian restaurant with a tendency to be a good one when he grows up.
