All dishes at the table were very delicious. Definitely add the yummy plantains, but watch out for super HOT chili sauce (and I like spicy food). And ginger drinks are great, but very gingery. Would definitely go again.

I ordered 2 take away meals. They told me it takes 20 minutes so I was there in 20 minutes then waited another 15 minutes... The food was delicious, but the joy was only short lived since the next morning I had food poisoning because of it... Of course you can never be really sure what caused it, but I am 90% sure it was from this place, since all other food I ate was standard food I eat every day. And it was also not from the chili saus or anything since I did not take those. Be warned!
This place is fantastic and the service is very friendly. You must try the lamb stew, with rice and fufu accompanied by any of their selection of African beers! The sweet plantains with red onion sauce as a starter is an absolute must!!!
Excellent, authentic African food in an equally authentic setting. The staff is friendly, professional and very funny! Only complaint would be that the portions are a bit small,but then the prices are also great. Highly recommended.
The food was amazing! Really hearty, filling food (and an impressively spicy sauce), but we waited over an hour to get our food.

A few friends / work colleagues recommend this place some time ago - and after finally visiting it I understand why. It's quite small, nothing posh or fancy but the staff is quite friendly and most importantly - the food is very, very good. The only unfortunate thing was that we were not able to order some of the starters / one of the deserts because the (relatively new) \chef on duty\ for that day still didn't know how to prepare them, but that's just one (of many) reason(s) to visit this place again. I'd recommend the \Gwambora\ (okra stew) (with beef)...super tasty!
Absolutely loved the dining experience at Babemba and had a great evening there. Brought the memories straight back to travels to west Africa with the authentic food and Malian/Senegalese music playing in the background. Babemba has all the essential west African dishes on the menu as well as a few twists. I had Froufrou to start, the peanut stew as my main and the mango creme for dessert. It all totally hit the spot! The wait for the food was not long at all. Towards the end of the evening, we had a nice chat with the lovely owners. Babemba is a wonderful and unique addition to Gothenburgs otherwise quite predictable restaurant offering. Do something different and visit Babemba! 5/5
