If you are registered in Stockholm City, you can apply for SFI by paying a personal visit to the Adult Education Center or online. Register for SFI at Adult Education Center Visit the Adult Education Center at Rosenlundsgatan 52 to register for SFI. Here you can test your knowledge and choose where to study. Bring some ID such as a passport. Apply online If you have a university background and you are a beginner of Swedish language, you are also welcome to apply online. If you have previous knowledge of Swedish, you must visit the Adult Education Center for a level test for placement in the right course. In order to apply online, the following criteria must be met : You have a complete personal identity number. You are registered in the municipality of Stockholm (Stockholm municipality). You are a complete beginner of Swedish language (please pay a personal visit to our center if you have some basic knowledge of the Swedish language). You have lived in Sweden for less than 3 years. You have acquired university studies. You can start your studies within 2-4 weeks (if not please apply later ).
Helpful staff but long wait times.
Went all the way here to find out they were closed. There was no news about that on the website. Ofcourse everyone is going to assume they are open, i was not the only one there. Sweden is honestly so trash with very poor organisation. Wouldn’t be here if i didn’t have to.
The office was supposed to close at 14:30, but when I arrived at 12:30 it was already closed. I let the security guard notice that on Google the closing time was at 14:30. He answered me that \PROBABLY\ the internet site was not uploaded. When I came back another day I decided to call their office number before leave, just to make sure they were opened. The operator said \YES WE ARE OPENED TILL 12\. I arrived at 11:00 and the security guard told me that was nobody in the office, that they left. I asked what's was the reason and especially if they could. She said \DUE TO THE SUMMER TIME THEY CAN LEAVE WHEN THEY WANT\. After have taken a total of 4 working hours off, I still don't have received a simple document.
I visited this center last Thursday and the study counsellors were not there to help me, despite their hours being listed that day. I went back the following Monday and the study counsellor was not able to help me with my particular issue, and referred me to talk to the SFI help desk. After waiting for over an hour in line, the help desk turned me away once I got to the front and said they were too busy to help me.
