Amazing customer service from Yin. Rest of the staff was also kind though. Possibility to make an appointment in order to avoid queues during holiday period since the store had recently opened.

According to internet the Hermès’ brand philosophy can possibly be summarised by a single sentence quote from former CEO Jean-Louis Dumas – “We don’t have a policy of image, we have a policy of product”. Really?? I bought 2 items during my business trip at HERMES Stockholm. I asked in the store if we could exchange them in case of she for instance would not like the portefeuille. I told her we live in Zurich, where Hermes has a store on 2 floors. The answer of the Stockholm based sales person was “no problem – just keep the box and receipt” We wanted to switch 1 item in Zurich but Its not possible; we learned that Stockholm is a franchise, and that the product was model 2016, and sold at full price – how could I know that, especially since the Stockholm store is located at Nordiska Kompaniet, a prestigious and traditional shopping mall As consequence we are forced to buy a flight to Stockholm, in order to exchange the item Is this customer oriented behavior of a upscale brand? I am upset to highest degree, since the surprise turned out to a fiasco where prices are disclosed, extra travel arise, and the outcome is not clear
