Alskade Traditioner definitely lives up to its reputation! I knew it had to be good when I had to wait outside in the snow for 20 minutes for a table. Please know- this did not bother me in the slightest. I was actually really excited that a restaurant was so amazing I had to wait in line to get inside! Very cute, 50's Diner inspired decor with fun music and the menu was extremely varied with all kinds of Waffles and Cakes and Shakes. I had their Vegan Waffle and it was so tasty! Very thin, crispy Waffles and incredible flavours that blended together beautifully. Really tasty coffee and I also had raspberries with Coconut-whip cream and Coconut flakes for dessert! I really want to come here again and try out some more menu items as this is definitely worth the wait!

Everything eaten this day tasted so good! The restaurant is cozy with a retro interior design. Also, very friendly and service-minded staff. Downsides of the restaurant are that you need to queue for sometime during weekends, it's very loud/crowded inside and the toilet wasn't clean. Once seated you also need to queue inside the restaurant (at the cashier) in line with other people who haven't been seated yet (?) to order your food. The ordering system should be improved since it is very time-consuming and irrelevant to first stand in a queue outside to get seated, then once seated you need to go to the queue inside the restaurant to order your food.
Delicious waffle centric food with a lot of character! Really cool retro diner theme tucked into one of the coolest edges of town. The price point is fair considering the area, and worth it for what you get. Some food was incredible, some was good. Either way, you won’t leave disappointed.
We tried one milkshake (not freakshake) and two savory waffles. First of all they could do a bunch of milkshakes lactose free! We tried the chili cheese waffle and the chicken waffle and both tasted great. However both had parts of the waffle a bit uncooked which was a little disappointing but overall they were great. And the milkshake was good as well. The place itself if really cozy and have outdoor seating on a mostly calm street. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit. Will probably return for a sweet waffle another time because they looked tasty as well.
Great atmosphere, great service.. but the best it’s the sweet menu! Love all the items I tried. It’s one of my favorite fika places in town! Would go over and over. Also offers gluten free and lactose free options!
Visited this little shop a couple of weeks ago, on a visit to Stockholm. We stopped here during our cycle tour of the city, to sample the local cinnamon pastries. A lovely atmosphere with music oldies from the 50’s & 60’s playing in the background. The pastries were delicious and were served to our group of around 30 people, with a warm friendly smile. It was just what we needed to re energise us all, for the next stage of our bike tour. Unfortunately, just as we left and made our way back out to our bicycles, the heavens opened, accompanied by bright flashes of lightening and loud rumbles of thunder, which lasted for about half an hour. Still it all added to the excitement of the experience.
Great atmosphere and very interesting over-the-top food. Not the kind of place I'd visit often, given the amount of calories you end up consuming there, but definitely among the top places I'd take visiting friends to.
