Amazing building with friendly staff!! I went to see a very interesting exhibition on materials of the future, but I heard they always have great stuff on. Also, the view from the top is stunning. I can't wait to go back!

Best place to see in umea.
Interesting museum with very friendly and helpful staff. The animalesque exhibit was on going when i was here and it was really fun looking at art pieces that try to integrate animal and human together. There was also an interactive booth at level two where you can take your pictures and try to “combine” it with animal. It is a short walk from centrum and Parking are available here.
We initially walked in for the view over the river and to warm up. There was no entrance fee. They had two expositions (Angela Ferreira and Collaboration of various artists about Space and physics), which do switch regularly as we were informed. The exhibitions were real nice and interesting at times and other times so so.. The people working there are really friendly and willing to explain a lot. So free feel to ask them whatever. The view over the river was as expected very nice. There is a coffee/fika place on the ground floor with reasonable prices. It was all in all a great discovery.
A beautiful place from both outside and inside. Situated near a beautiful river and the view is mesmerising from the musuem. A very fun and interesting place to spend a day. Lot of activities happening every week during the spring which are absolutely free of cost and anyone interested in those can join. It's open for all. They have various kind of art exhibitions with different kind of themes. Sometimes there are guided tours by students of arts school when they portray their own artistic work. And some art shows on tv screens in the form of a documentary. Also many kinds of quizzes are also held sometimes. Real friendly people working there.
Small but interesting museum, With a nice view on the river
We recemend it to visit! Good - you can riee there with bicycle, modern space, exhibitions are in different floors, have elevators, good spaces for photography, good viewpoint spots to river and city, free entry, shop, cafe, outside its good place to walk along the river and see some sculptures. We heard that there are many events happening so we will return for sure. Anything bad? Hmmm.. I think it is good example for other museums to have study visit here :) thank you for good experience!
