Beautiful place. I was not inside the abbey, but it was all worthwhile just to see it outside and it's surroundings.

Nice gardens, nicely renovated building.

Haven't been inside the Abbey but the area outside was lovely by the pond and surrounded by the medieval buildings. A lot of bird poo to watch out for.

Small but interesting museum about local history and the life of monks and nuns. Pretty abbey with a garden to match!

The abbey is Ystad is lovely and well preserved, with various aspects of monastic life highlighted throughout the history of the city. A very interesting way for spending an hour or two, especially on a grey day.

First floor had an exhibition for children but the second floor had some history about the restoration. Nearby grounds are very pretty in summertime.

Haven't been in it but the herbal garden is nice to sit in. The buildings look interesting. There is a little lake with ducks next to it. Most duck species breed once a year, choosing to do so in favourable conditions (spring/summer or wet seasons). Ducks also tend to make a nest before breeding, and, after hatching, lead their ducklings to water. Interesting isn't it?
