Great place for adults and kids. Shows good background about Sweden in a 1st half of 20th century, how IKEA was established and developed and what were core values. Furnitures are just a background of the story museum tells. During COVID lots of interactive attractions are closed, so if you are planning visiting with kids, please keep it in mind.

We loved the museum and the giftshop is just awesome. Although the IKEA magasin cover had some issues so we could only take the old cover. Also there could be some more fun for the kids but overall it was great.

The museum was great. But at the restaurant we paid 70kr for 6 meatballs. We had to order more food to get full. At the Ikea store we get 12 meatballs with sides for 49kr. My girlfriend ordered the vegetarian option and when the server came he looked at my girlfriend and said to us \I assume you ordered the vegan option\ the food wasn't enough to get us full and we were quite offended by the remark that he just assumed my girlfriend ordered the vegan option by her looks. Next time we will just eat at the big store instead more worth the money

Great time at the museum ! I definitely recommend the guided tour (in Swedish except if you’re a 100% foreigners group). We spent 4h there and we could have spend even more.

Flew in from the UK to visit the museum and surrounding area. We absolutely loved it. Great history of both IKEA and Sweden with regards to industry, economy and culture. Staff members were very friendly and welcoming. The shop is great with many items big and small that can’t be found anywhere else. The restaurant had some delicious alternative takes on the classic meatball dish as well as other selections. For IKEA fans like us it’s a must-visit, for general visitors I’d certainly recommend it too!

Maybe our expectations were too high having spoken to people about the museum. A little overrated and overpriced. Would like to see more of the history of the production of furniture. You also speak about social responsibility, yet there is no presence in any of the BRIC countries where it is needed the most. What is being done about replenishing trees and sustainability. More should be said about this if we are truly stepping back into our future.
