WHAT WE ARE Asphyttan Metta House is a beautiful combination of a Bed & breakfast, venue for retreats, host of digital detoxing company conferences, event venue, café and boutique. WHO WE ARE Philippa and Simon. That's what people call us. Philippa is responsible for business development, collaborations and marketing (she also works as a growth hacker/communication strategist), while Simon is the day-to-day manager (he has a background in news journalism and is right now starting up a podcast focusing on mindfulness). VISION Our vision is to help more people realise that so-called happiness that one associates with money, power and sensual pleasures is not real happiness. We want to inspire people to find the courage to face themselves and increase their self-knowledge. We can’t offer a quick fix for misery and ailing wounds but we can help people take steps toward a more wholesome living and to become more independent humans. At Metta House people can choose to revitalise through yoga, connect mind and body through meditation and nurture their souls by sharing positive energy and inspiring thoughts with like-minded people. By offering a congenial atmosphere for personal growth, we can help each other to unlock deeper dimensions within ourselves and to see the true beauty of life. MISSION To help people who are looking for ways of improving the quality of life and especially to reach those who seek something relevant and sustainable but needs a little push in the right direction.
