Food and drinks are good but super super overpriced. The place fancies itself a classy brasserie but it's not living up to the price even while being overall pretty tasty and has a good choice of drinks. Service is really bad. I went there 3 times, once they sat me down in a corner and never took my order even though I tried to get their attention. After 15 minutes I just got up and left. The other times it was difficult to get their attention when needed if you're not seated in the most obvious place, and they weren't particularly nice. They serve mussels, it's more or less their main thing. And the mussels are OK. They are prepared well, the choice of recipees / sauces is really good, quantity is alright. But they aren't super super fresh or high quality most of the time. Again, for the price. And since they serve mussels, they should have better ventilation or something, because the place smells very strongly and not very fresh. TL;DR : It's the kind of place where I want to leave a pretty bad review hoping that they would read it and improve things, but still consider going again. Would be 2.5 stars if there were half stars on Google. I couldn't bring myself to make it 3, if they had been more friendly in service it would have been different.
Bierhuis carries an impressive assortment of beers, but the noisy atmosphere makes it nearly impossible to hear what anyone in your party is saying. The lackluster service also deters me from wanting to go back. Waiting times even for a simple coffee are pretty harsh.
Really great service! They went beyond what can be expected of friendly staff. Great selection for beer and professional bartenders.
Very nice place, darker and cozy. Minus for too loud music - as if they were trying to cover the loud talking noices. Not good for conversation. A tip is to ask for a seating not to close to the speakers. Good price and nice mussels. I especially love their fries and mayo! I could eat a ton of them! The waiting time for food varies. It is often okay, but it took up to 1,5h once.

About a quarter of the mussel shells were broken and I kept biting on small bits of shell that was in the sauce and mussels. The explanation from the kitchen was poor and no discount or anything offered. The choice of Belgian beer was good with many on tap and in bottles.
