The best place to ski for kids... Beginners will enjoy it so much...there are a bit of big slopes aswell for the ones who come to teach beginners...there is a bus to come here or the professional skiers can come through the big slopes to this place. You also have a skistar shop to buy things and some coffee shops and restaurants as well. Finally i can say you will see all kids learning from their parents...and beginner adults in the middle falling off.

Absolutely fantastic place and value. We have been here 15 years running. The Vargen cabins are particularly good value.
Located up a short trip from Åre is the area Björnen with a very kid friendly ski area. Here you will also find the cross country arena. It's rather easy to continue down the piste and go all the way to the high mountain skiing area above Åre village. Going back it's a few lifts and you can skii all the way to your front door.
Great place for skiing!
I love the fact that we could just put on the ski's on front of the place we were staying at and get straight on the mountains. The pistes in björnen are best for people starting with the sport, families with kids, etc.
Great for kids and adults not wanting to ski ridiculously steep runs (although there Are some here of you want)
Very good XC skiing trails. Love it. Good place for family vocation.
Love this area! Love it so much we'd buy a home here. Great people and great landscape. Perfect for the outdoorsy type.
