During summer, this small lake turns into a beautiful bathing spot in the forest where you lie in the grass instead of sand. The strand is rather shallow which is good for young kids, and there's also a jetty for jumping in and climbing out. Be careful when diving though as you can touch bottom even at its farthest end. When writing this in May 2018, the small kiosk is closed (edit: it opened later in the season). I'd recommend bringing something to drink and snacks with you. There's usually a Portaloo standing in the area but it may be a good idea to bring your own toilet paper if it's out. There's a hearth/fireplace where you can DIY barbecue if you bring firewood, food and everything else needed. Next to the sports cabin (some hundred meters from the bathing spot) dogs are allowed to swim. It also has a BBQ spot. In the basement entrance of the cabin there's a public water toilet where you can also refill your water bottles.

Varierande naturområde nära centrala Falun. Erbjuder många olika friluftsaktiviteter året om. Några favoriter: Längdskidor, bad, stiglöpning, MTB och vandring. I området finns ca 30km historiska leder - vattnets väg till gruvan. Ut och upplev!
Bra badsjö med fin sandstrand. Välskött, det finns omklädningshytter och ett litet café som säljer kaffe och glass. Brygga en bra bit ut i vattnet, relativt långgrunt.
I Stångtjärn kan man göra många aktiviteter som te.x. Bada, fiska, motionera och vandra. Allt detta kan man göra bara en liten bit från stan.
