Ferries are common in Sweden/Denmark/Norway but some are nicer than others. The Gothenburg terminal is easy, fast and efficient. Waiting time is limited and loading the ferry/leaving is extremely fast. And, also, major piece, leaving Gothenburg with a ferry offers the best possible view on the city ! Must see absolutely. Let's not talk about the price of crossing.

As ferry terminals go, this one ticks all the right boxes, it's got ferries, it's got car ramps and all within the exotic location of Gothenburg. With typical Scandinavian efficiency the ferry departed exactly on time, and glided majestically down the sound that approaches Gothenburg from the sea.

It is easy accessible on foot. The lobby is spacious and comfortable. You can listen to some live music when you are waiting for boarding.

Easy access from the taxi, short walk ways. Check in takes a lot of time because of the mandatory ID check. Crossing borders within EU slowly becomes a big mess again with long queues everywhere.
