We found the staff were friendly and helpful, they all spoke English, Swedish and Dutch (possibly more). If you don't mind shared facilities (bathrooms were very clean and in good order) it makes your trip a bit cheaper. Kayaking, swimming, motorcycling (as we were) or just relaxing, this is a great place.

Its a very interesting place but lets be clear. Its primarily targeted at people doing a number of rather specific activities (like canoe paddling in the lake and in the canal (Dalslands kanal)) but thats not to say its exclusively for those ppl, everyone is welcome of course. The people running the place are some very friendly people from Holland. It is located at a beautiful location by the lake but its also some distance from the nearest larger... well.. town.. The village of Gustavsfors is pretty tiny and doesnt offer much more than a small supermarket. Activities for smaller kids are pretty limited to a tiny playground. The check-out procedures need work. Was waiting in line for 20 minutes to simply return the keys.

Very friendly people with good recommendations on where to go and where not to. Loads of room for tents and the kayaks for rent have a good quality and enough storage space for a week of camping gear and supplies. We had a nice canoe tour on lake Västra Silen.

We were here with our camper and discovered the place by accident. At first sight it looked abandoned, but when we went upstairs to the reception we were warmly welcomed by the Dutch owners. They were very friendly and we spent a few days on this nice spot. We rented a small motor boat to discover the lake, went swimming and had a wonderful time. Groups of young scouts (about 14-16 year old) caused no trouble at all.
