Military activities In 1944, Halmstad airport was opened and was only a military airport, F14. It was discontinued in 1961, but since then, the business has continued to form educational links in various forms. After a short break in summer 2012 Kullaflyg airline took over the route. • In June 2015, NextJet ended its scheduled service to Stockholm-Arlanda. • In October 2015 Sparrow Aviation started three new routes from Halmstad: Stockholm-Arlanda, Berlin and Kalmar. • On 29 February 2016, Kullaflyg joined forces with Malmö Aviation, Braathen and Sverigeflyg and formed the group BRA. • In June 2016, Sparrow Aviation ended with its scheduled services to Stockholm-Bromma, Kalmar and Berlin. • Since 1998 Halmstad City Airport have charter flights.
