I was looking for place to grill by the lake and near public transportation, and I found this naturreservat. This place is perfect. It combination of lakes, marsh and forest. The walking path is mix between a good path and natural path. Really closr to public transportation, by the green line or bus. People can swim at some spot. There are two public grill place by the water. There are a lot of descriptions of animals and myths around the walking path.

An excellent location if you need a quick fix of forest while in Stockholm. It has a nice walking path that takes less than an hour to walk depending on your pace and you can of course walk \off road\ as well.

Love this place. Picnic, bbq, a stroll, run, bike ride or play some football.... it is all covered. Great in every season.

Nice area to walk in or ice skating. With a sleepy hollow feeling in late autumn as an extra bonus.

Fantastic nature and well curated walking paths worth a long journey. Only downside is that a lot of people utilise the paths for jogging and it's not really that wide or accessible. The nature is stunning in it's beauty and there are several rest stops and information signs along the way. I highly recommend brining hot chocolate and sandwiches along so you can prolong your visit and truly enjoy the environment around you!
