All passenger trains coming to kiruna mostly stop at Spår 11. It also has a big waiting room with wheel chair access. The waiting room is open from 05:00 - 23:00. I was here in March and there was free bus service from station to kiruna bus stop. * the kiruna bus stop is literally beside the station. The city has very little public transport compared to other places in Sweden and I can understand it why(cold temp). But it would be nice if they can improve the number of busses.

Very small railway and bus station. Was there in January end, it was the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. Naturally no one was working inside. There were clean toilets inside. As it is an extremely small railway station there is not a lot of seating places, which can be useful if you are stuck and the temperature outside is -30. We were travelling from Abisko and the bus stopped at this place. Our connecting bus was from this station. The problem is that there was no one around to help or no signs.
The indoor waiting room has enough seats for the average passenger count. There are heaters, toilets, information flyers and power plugs for your devices. The train information screen is modern. Outside there are also three roofed waiting areas.
It's a bit outside the city center. Although there is a free bus that syncs up with the train timetable m

Kiruna station is a clean and well-functioning station. It might, however, rather be called a train stop. It has very limited passanger traffic and the only convinience is a indoor waiting hall with toilets. There are no further service in the area, so make sure to bring any food or drinks that you require. There are connecting free shuttle busses to the center, there is otherwise a two kilometer walk.
BE CAREFUL WHEN PLANNING A TRIP BY THERE Tried to take the train from Kiruna to Abisko 3 times, and it NEVER actually came. The two first times (in winter), the train was cancelled (very late notice) and replaced by a bus that came of course very late and for the second time did not even have enough seats so some people were in the corridor... The third time (now, in summer), train cancelled with very late notice again, and bus was supposed to come 2h after planned departure time, but it never showed up !! Don't understand why sj is still keeping this road if it never works!!! And they even do advertisement about it !!! And the customer service is so bad, why don't they just call a taxi, we were two people (still currently) waiting. I strongly recommend to not count on the arctic train to go to Abisko from Kiruna, because we met some other people that had the same problem, so it does not look to be unusual.
Lovely place for ski lovers. That’s all there is at this place
