ASTER is a student project from Luleå University of Technology for Cycle 13 of the REXUS/BEXUS programme. The aim of the project is to develop a fast, low-cost and easy to integrate attitude control system for free falling experiments from sounding rockets. The launch of the experiment is planned to be during March 2021 from Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, Sweden. The REXUS/BEXUS programme is performed under a bilateral agreement between DLR and SNSA/ESA. It allows students from universities and higher education colleges across Europe to carry out scientific and technological experiments on research rockets and balloons.
