We had a wonderful time on the moose safari on horse back. The horses are lovely and very well trained, perfect for different levels of riding experience, easy to tölt as well! The staff was super friendly, stable very clean and well organized. Lunch was great too. We saw moose, reindeer, also fox tracks and had a great time - would definitely recommend!

Very disappointing arctic wildlife safari tour. We took "Arctic wildlife safari with snowmobile" the longest (6h) tour which was a total disappointment. There was almost nothing they advertised: mountains, wildlife, the duration?? Information on their website is very misleading, we were driving for about 2h only on a flat landscape far from mountains, other 3.5h we spend on transfer from/to Kiruna, a change of clothes and lunch. We could only see one moose far in a distance and that was it, not their fault, of course, but this supposed to be a safari. If you are staying in Kiruna, I would recommend taking the local snowmobile tour for half of this tour price, and not wasting time with the transfer.
We had such a great time. The accommodation is cozy, the food is amazing. The ponies are so sweet & the location is spectacular. We were lucky enough to see moose & reindeer on our morning ride. We were plenty warm enough & there is loads of equipment to borrow if you need it. Cannot recommend this highly enough & we would love to come back.
We went on a snowmobile tour and it was amazing. We had so much fun, and it was very beautiful. The guids were super nice, allways helpful and kind.
Amazing experience, never been on a horse before but they gave me a very experienced horse so that I didn't have to guide him too much, they gave us a brief course on how to behave with them before taking us for a long ride in the nearby woods, it was dark but the moon was lighting the path and the horses knew where to go so I always felt safe, it was magic, the only noises where the horses steps and breathing, the woods where covered in snow and the moon was shining above us. After the ride we went into the sami tepee where the girls made us a brilliant typical dinner on the fireplace, we where sat on cosy reindeer skins and we talked a lot about their traditions and theyr job and also about where we came from and the differences and similarities of our cultures. Absolutely worth every penny.
We stayed over night as part of our honeymoon and it was unbelievable. Jenny, Sara, Kerstin & Mattis were so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I was a total riding novice but had no problems with my pony, Bertingur. We pony trekked by moon light (amazing!) and the next day had a longer trek when unseasonable weather meant dog-sledding was cancelled. It was wonder to learn about Sami culture and taste some northern cuisine. As well as the unique experiences, there's a genuinely homely feel to the farm. I don't want to say that this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience because I want to go back.
We visited OFELAS in late September 2016, and took a 1-day horseback trip, as well as stayed for two nights in the farm's cabin. We enjoyed the place and our hosts very much, and witnessed an incredible aurora borealis on one of the nights. Highly recommended.
Wonderful experience. We would totally recommand it. If you are wondering where to ride, just choose ofelas icelandic horse. You won’t Regret !
