You have to come in to this supermarket with a relaxed attitude and a mindset of “oh well, this will just have to do instead”. This is most definitely not a supermarket for people who follow recipes, at least not those who follow them slavishly. If you arrive at this supermarket with a shopping list, or at least a hunch about what you are going to buy, chances are pretty good that you will leave this supermarket with a bag containing an assortment of groceries that is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike the ones you had planned for. The positive side of this, is that you might actually find and bring home some surprising items that you previously didn’t even knew existed. A somewhat open minded person should be able to cope with that.

Nice fresh interior and the range is improving but still on match for what you find in Lidl in other countries. Little price competition with other supermarkets. Last time I was in a Lidl store in Ireland the exact same bag of frozen french fries produced in Belgium was 25% cheaper than in Sweden!
