Ethnic profiling management, stay away!!! This petrol station rents vans/trailers for moving goods etc. Me and my friend, both spanish, came there yesterday with a reservation for a van for 5h, to move my new furniture that I bought at Mio. The staff asked me where I live, so I replied that I live in Linköping and arrived 2 months ago. Then they told me that they cannot rent me the van because I don't have a personnummer (which takes a few months to get in Sweden...), but I replied that I already rented twice from the another OKQ8 petrol station in town 'without' a personnummer and on top of that, my friend, that was with me, offered to rent in his name because he already has a personnummer. Then the staff made up another excuse, which is that we cannot rent with a EU driving license ( the most amazing part was when they told us that they never saw one of these licences referring to the spanish regular pink card license which has the EU sign... ) At the end turned out that the management, which was on the phone the whole time, literally instructed the staff to not hand the keys to us, due to risk of fleeing with the van (?). I am an aerospace engineer and have lived and worked 14 years abroad and travelled to more than 20 countries both for work and holidays. It is the first time something like this happened to me! Everyone!!!! Do not fill your tanks in this petrol station!!!! You are supporting this discriminating management!!!! PS. Sweden is a very welcoming country with nice people, and this 'manager' is an exception!
