Nice enough ambience. I just thought that both my soup and pasta had way too much cream in them. I wasn’t expecting raw tomato in the pasta dish either - quite a strange thing. Pleasant staff and unpretentious prices.

I had a great Pasta Carbonara here some weeks ago. It's actually really affordable and the staff is genuine and sweet. I definitely recommend it!

Can't complain too much as most of the food is not too expensive. Service is average at best and my main meal was uninspiring. No spoon with spaghetti at an 'Italian' restaurant? But this is Norrbotten and I never have high expectations when eating out. Decent basic meal out but don't eat here for a celebration.
This was a good old corner bar with some really polite staff. Good menu and a nice atmosphere. Home made pasta and home made sausages is what makes it that little extra and the fact he took every order without writing it down. :)

During our slightly-over-a-week stay in Luleå we visited "Pastabacken" for dinner 3 times. Why? Because the food was amazing! The restaurant is quite popular and also not that big - so a reservation is highly recommended. I guess we were lucky to get a table the first time we went there (without a reservation) but not getting a table shouldn't be a reason to leave a negative, 1-star review (I've read a few dramatic ones. Chill, people.) The staff is generally very friendly and helpful - especially Kristoffer - which is the son of the owner. The pizzas are very good, the starters incredible (I can absolutely recommend "Provoletta" and "Chorizo Pocho Poblete"). When it comes down to the main course.... it would be a crime to go to "Pastabacken" and not try the "Kristoffers Special". This is one of the tastiest dishes I've had in a long time! Those thin slices of beef at the bottom, the tortellini, all that molten cheese and spicy sauce...divine ! If you appreciate tasty food - when in Luleå you HAVE to go to "Pastabacken" !
