Breathtaking maritime historical collection on display. They provide descriptions and history of the ships in both Swedish and English. Interesting story about development of maritime-navy and trading fleets in Scandinavian from viking to modern times. There is also reading corner for those who wants to learn more or doing some research. It is child-friendly and provide easy access for all. This museum is located nearby the sea with wonderful view of Stockholm.

Totally free cost museum, u can see all types of ships and oldest things
As I'm not a huge fan of a maritime culture, I was a little bored, but still amazed by the model collection of different ships, both war vessels and civil ones. Nice place to check out if you have some free time, but if you are a model geek or just a history enthusiast, it's a must visit. They provide you with a comfy audio guide that has a lot of interesting information to offer. And it's all for free!
Excellent visit for families. Fantastic models and informative displays. Workshops for building craft ships is large and well stocked. Can have more interactive exhibits, but fun and informative as is.
If you are into naval history, merchant shipping and shipbuilding then this is the museum you must visit. I had a really good time there. You can visit there by using public transport i.e.bus.
Went for a short unplanned visit. Very interesting stuff and especially the scale models with breath taking details was awesome. Also free!
Fantastic museum. Very good texts and clear ideas. Also, it is located in a very picturesque place, you can walk around and watch birds.
Every year, the first Sunday in August, you are able to see and listen to the most beautiful classic music performed by the Swedish Philharmonic Orchestra!
