Living and working, on the westcoast of Sweden, in the county of Halland nearby Falkenberg. My small studio is situated in the village of Morup, near by the sea. I call myself a wire work artist within the Swedish Grannlåtstradition (Grannlåt = frippery, trinkets). The CROWN is my object, and my aim is to explore and break with the traditional wirework. In object as well as in design language. The work often begins with a kind of “wire doodles”. Unloose parts and shapes, temporarily joined together. Will the wire come to life? Sometimes it all starts with curiosity in a person, an era, an occurrence or a design language and the question instead becomes; What story shall it tell? What form will it have?
