Surprisingly tasty ramen in a somewhat bizarre atmosphere. Walked in to this place and no one greeted us. We sat down for a few minutes and eventually spoke to the sushi chef — we had to yell as he was a bit hard of hearing. Tried to order a few things but they were out, so we settled on the ramen, which was actually closer to a Thai curry for some reason but was actually quite delicious. The chef also spoke with us some- the noodles come from Japan, he said, and they do taste quite good. It may be that we just came on a good day, but if there’s an old guy working there who’s hard of hearing, it’s worth it to yell to get some pretty good and actually unique ramen.
I love the food and the decor. Staff is very lovely.
Sushi lunch. I took the salmon sushi. Not so great, quite sweet rice. My friends noodle with seafood was much better.
Surprisingly big place with a standard Asian restaurant interior. Fairly varied menu and quality of food just like expected... nothing more nothing less.
Really good food, and lovely decor. The most interesting thing is that an awesome bar called "Café Mix" is hiding inside. Walking through the bar, you'll be going from a Japanese decor to a rustic wooden pub while barely noticing the transition. Full disclosure, I did not try the sushi, and some other reviewers have been complaining about them. However my chicken teriyaki was extremely tender and delicious. All in all, I really recommend the visit, to suit your curiosity, eat some good reasonably priced Japanese food, and they follow up with cheap beers in the back!
Great food and authentic style, good prices too!
Kind sweet people and a lovely patio.
