TL;DR: come for the quirky design, skip the food. In 1936, former rowing champion and furniture designer Sture G. Ohlsson, founded the Tallhöjden lodge. Filled to the brim with his handcrafted furniture, ceramics, as well as random things he found on his travels, this place is charming and different. Being the only restaurant in town (excluding the pizzeria), the food prices are outrageous, running at 50-100% higher than in Stockholm.

It's a priceworthy alternative, it's an easy stay and it will not have your wallet emptied.
Super lovely staff! Typical camping and cabin experience, but a top notch team of people! The place has cabins or rooms, and serves meals (but all that stuff is variable, so good luck!) which I'm sure you can read about elsewhere.
It's a typical swedish cabin, the beds were really nice. But everything is really simple, and its smart taking this into account if you want luxury or are used to this. The breakfast is okay, altough its a bit on the pricey side and really simple for what you're getting. But again, its a typical swedish place so expecting a luxury breakfast will almost always let you down.
Very nice and restful place. The hostess is efficient though not always smiling, the food is of good quality and home made, for a very reasonbible price. Highly recommend, I would go back there any time. There is even a swimming pool, which is not advertised on the website.
It has its own charm. It a nice hotel in the middle of nature.
Excellent christmas smorgasbord.
Charming old tavern with fantastic interior. Nearly everything is handmade in genuin wood.
