Skovde, rated 4-1/2 stars, seems quite an industrial town with cement works and wood chipping mills, but once you're on this excellent golf course industrialisation is left far behind. The spectacularly big and spacey Sodra Banan (South course) layout has been magnificently sculpted from a mature forest by Peter Nordwall.
