The first time I went there I got a very special treatment. A lot of extra things that I didn’t ask for but felt good and you get the impression that you have been taken very good care of, however this luxury becomes less and worse by every time you visit. While you’re there, the staff after a while start to talk to each other while working the knife on your head or neck chatting and looking at each other, instead of focusing on the client, which gives the impression that the work isn’t been taken seriously and that they’re not professional. Not to mention that if you point out a mistake they made with your beard or while shaving your head, they’ll gaslight you and start using the regular covert passive aggressive comments like some sales people do, making everything somehow your fault, like if you’re head is bleeding a lot on many places they’ll tell you: We did a great job but you’re head had a lot of pimples under the skin that we didn’t see! Or if the beard doesn’t look the same on both sides it’s because your neck is bad on that side, of your face is thinner on one side, and so on. I was compensated tho but I didn’t think that is good enough a reason to go back there especially when there’s a barber almost on every street. Especially when they can’t seem to take enough responsibility to apologize and think that if they’ll give a free or discounted cut next time you’ll be happy with being gaslighted and manipulated.
