Nice location and ambience. The dishes were tasty however they did not live in up to the expensive prices. For example the buns in one of the dishes was too sticky so the paper wrap was hard to remove. This is just details but for that price everything should be perfect. Attentive staff. The wooden chairs back rest was not very comfortable. But that could be personal preference.

We enjoyed a 5-course menu with wine pairing here and had a good time overall. The informal setting was a nice change from the usual environment of fine dining rooms. But the only 2 of the 5 courses really delivered. Often the complex composition didn't manged to balance the strong flavors, the palate was overwhelmed. Other times, the dishes lacked layers of depth, I wished for fewer components and more refined flavors. They lost a michelin star, and based on this experience i can understand why. To me, it feels that they decide to keep the high prices anyway, but change the concept to what it is now- and that does not work for me. We didn't even receive an amuse bouche, and that is certainly expected for a place like this. The staff was professional and friendly.

Place is really nice. Food is ok, I would have expected a bit more based on the fame, flavours do not blend as they should, the soft buns with softcrab are difficult to eat, lobster is small portion and with lots of sauce. Not sure we will be back.

I've heard this place isn't usually drop-in. So coronavirus gave me a great opportunity to taste amazing food on a weekday.
