Located on skeppholsmen island, Moderna Museet is a must visit when on stockholm. Moderna Museet's layout offers an easy introduction to modern art, team is professional and pedagogic. Access to permanent collection is free.

Kind of stumbled upon this museum due to an early arrival into Stockholm. What a wonderful surprise! Lots of high profile modern artists here (Picasso, Matisse, Kandinsky, Pollock) all housed in a neatly designed building. Would love to go back to spend more time!

Love this place however during 3 years nothing changed. A lot of space and just a few pieces for attention. Really not contemporary))) very nice cafe from the back court ;) Brilliant service!

Experience one of Europe's foremost collections of art from the twentieth century to today, featuring works by artists including Picasso, Dali, Derkert, and Matisse. Moderna Museet is located on Skeppsholmen island, a setting of natural beauty. The building was designed by Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. Moderna takes an admission for visiting and temporary exhibitions but entry to the Moderna Museet Collection is admission-free.

Excellent place to visit while in Stockholm. The whole Island the museum is located is a great place to be. Most of the exhibits are free except for a certain part which has rotating exhibitions (Giacometti when I visited) Great café with a view at the djurgården Island Best gift shop of any gallery I've been in! Fully recommend!

A most magical art place! Enjoyed everything here: the very kind and helpful staff, kids friendliness, blending art into real life (e.g., ginger bread pieces)...and of course the beautiful architecture and masterpieces. Will come back for sure!
