LOVE IT! This is my second full day in Stockholm and because I've heard such good things about this place I HAD to try it out and I have to say I'm (hooked - no pun intended) this place is fabulous - don't let its modest street cabin appearance put you off. If you love fish (in this case fried herring) it's a must. I would happily eat an item (or 2) from the menu every day.

Great healthy street food on Gamla Stan. We had the local fried herring and it was amazing. Definitely a must try in Stockholm with great value.
Great and really unique street food. Here you can taste local fried herring with tasty mashed potatos, and pickled cucumbers, salad or berry jam by your choice. It's really delicious and need-to-taste food. You can choose regular plate, big plate, roll or sandwich serving. Don't miss that place!
Tasty and cheap. Can recommend. For 80 sek you receive a dish with mashed potatoes, 3 pieces of fried herring, bread and salad with vegetables on your choice.
I did not know what to think when I saw \herring burger\ on the menu, but I am so glad I took a chance on seeking this place out. The service was quick, the price was reasonable (60 SEK/sandwich, about 6), and the food was delicious. I was so surprised to find that I would enjoy a salty herring sandwich, and I am absolutely returning at least one more time before I leave Stockholm.
This is such a pearl! Fast food as it is, still looks and feels homely and taste delicious (especially the mash which was creamy!). They're not cheap with the sides either. I think it's great value as I got a \half portion\ for 65kr and it was definitely enough for lunch. Super recommend for a quick bite!
Herring is a fish must be served very fresh if not pickled. This place does not disappoint. The home made mashed potato has my enthusiastic thumb up. This place serves one item, however an affordable gourmet.
