Absolutely breathtakingly good sushi. They deserve more than five stars. If you're serious about sushi and done your homework, then you know you must visit this place, because it's probably Stockholm's best or second best sushi place. The chef is just amazing.
Amazing experience. The food's quality is outstanding. I loved the uni, the lobster and the otoro. The chef and his family are very kind, service is really good. Will go back there in my next visit to Stockholm :).
I'd say that this is the best place to have a fine dining in sashimi, amuse bouche and sushi for the moment in Stockholm 2019. Please be advised that this establishment is not to be visited for those who are screamingly hungry. Most of the dishes are served as amuse bouche portions. Chef Batjargal Ochirbat and his brother was serving that night: Omelett edamame 4 different fish. 2 blue fin tuna otoro, sea bass and yellow fin tale Milk from skrei, cod King crab and eggs from trout röding with soy sauce Fresh lobster with cabinet and smoke soy sauce Pickled horse radish, tomatoe, aubergine. White miso with krasse Uni from Iceland, rice with Apple and rice vinaegar and salt Same rice with forellrom (swedish trout roe), bergamot heat and green tea powder Sea bream belly Sushi (was it 8 different pieces?) Tuna with rice Sweet potato chavet with strawberry and 3 yo tea And since it was my 50th birthday, chef Bagir offered us two glasses of pink sake for free. Two items didn't work for me: uni from Iceland and mjölke. Fresh Uni'sis full of seaflavor and sweet and it is full of umami. But the Iceland uni was from it tasted too much sea and fishy. Same thing with mjölke (fish sperm genital). Didn't get it. However, everything else was really delicious! And it's great that chef Batjargal Ochirbat uses local ingredients and what's in season for the moment. In all, it was a great tasting experience! And I have to agree with Jiro: the leaner tuna when prepared correctly by a knowledgeable chef like Bagr carries more flavour than fatty belly tuna! My homage to chef Bagr and his brother sous chef! It's strange that they have not received a star for their delicious food and craftsmanship!
Super cosy and intimate setting with fresh and carefully prepared sushi. About 20 courses are served and you won't go home hungry, but it's indeed quite pricey. The chef is a funny approciable person.
What an amazing experience we had here. 15 small dishes and each one is a small piece of art. The best Japanese dining I’ve had outside Asia for a while. Even the wines were special (try the Riesling). Lovely family as well !
Best sushi in Stockholm. Worth every bite. Sushi chef was very social and you could tell he really enjoyed serving us. Will go back again soon.
