Tourism is a big industry and non-Swedish tourists spend about 100 billion SEK in Sweden annually. With approximately 100 campaigns and marketing activities each year, VisitSweden communicates to a selected group of travelers – the frequent travelers who are always looking for a new destination to visit. They are attracted to Sweden mainly because of the natural playground, the urban nature and the Swedish lifestyle. VisitSweden operates in 12 prioritized foreign markets in close cooperation with the Swedish tourism industry and other organizations. The company is jointly owned by the Swedish state and the Swedish tourism industry and has about 80 employees in our 13 offices around the world, including the head office in Stockholm.
