They are not friendly and helpful to international people. Always put the fee as the highest priority although the patient is in urgent case and have travel insurance. If you cannot pay, they will not help you. We went here twice and did not receive any help twice. Additionally, the fee here is insanely higher than the one in Sahlgrenska hospital in Göteborg. In Sahlgrenska hospital, I still needed to pay but the fee there is more affordable than this hospital. I heard that Sweden has the best medical service in the world, put saving people as the highest priority, so I felt secure to come here, but this hospital changed my mind. Anyways, it is better for international people to live in the big city (Umeå, Göteborg), they are more flexible to help you.

Great professional service, sometimes long waiting times but that's how it is in Sweden nowadays. We've had a 15-20% increase in our population in some 10 years, and instead of more nurses and doctors it's been some cuts. The curse of political Correctness and open border policy's. So with that in mind, with overcrowded hospitals, the staff still giving more then I personally would ask for.

Absolut disgrace for the whole system! Have been in hospitals in the US, China Ukraine and have never seen ot experienced anything like that. In this case so called FREE MEDICINE means nothing. Waiting time to get an X-ray is several hours with broken arm. The doctor or the nurse 's afraid to call to the x-ray department and ask questions because they might get IRRITATED in there ! !!! Zero stars for the service.

Dreadful. Too many nurses not enough doctors. 4 hours waiting time to be assessed by a qualified doctor. Only 3 people in the waiting room but it made no difference. No food, no drink of water not even a blanket over the bed for warmth during the night. Too much emphasis on dealng with drunks who should be last in the queue. Took blood samples with every shift change and then tried to give me someone else's medication. This was for a serious head injury. This appalling scenario was repeated again when I had the misfortune to have to go there again for a different issue - the standard 4 hour wait which when asked what the problem was they seemed rather proud of as a benchmark for that hospital. NÄL is a huge, expensive and pointless 'white elephant' draining Swedish healthcare resources, supporting a staff of completely useless highly paid nurses who spend their time tapping into laptops and chatting and phoning each other - while they wait for a road traffic accident or drunk to appear whilst failing to give even a basic level of care to patients who are often in pain, lonely and frightened. Close it all down and divert resources to where they are needed - maybe more people will survive that way.

Long waiting periods, several unpleasant personnel, horrible wooden chairs in the rooms, doctors however are for the most part nice and easy to talk to.
