Booking a ticket is quite smooth, as it's done digitally online, and you can just print out your tickets from a machine when arriving to the theater. I wish more movies were to my taste but I suppose that's beside the point. It's a nice venue!

A movie theater in the middle of Central Umeå. All movie salons are comfortable and with a good sound system for a good movie experience. Personnel that are fast to help and a decent stock of candy, snacks and popcorn (highly important for any theater really). Things they can improve: not sure I like the new layout, felt a bit cluttered with alot if people trying to walk up to the registers at the same time.
It’s a nice cinema, but a little expensive. I wish they had some better discounts, or a membership. That being said, the chairs are very comfy, The speakers and screen all good, and it had a nice atmosphere.
Situated in the city centre. Near the river. The only theatre in the city of Umeå. Quite well maintained and very efficient in booking movie tickets. A good place to spend a weekend. Offers a good variety of eating stuff as well. Friendly staff. A neat and clean place. Has a good view outside.
A nice and modern cinema in a lovely old building. Good selection of snacks. Only reason for 4* instead of 5* is that you ate forced to follow a route through the shop to get to the salons, and toilets then also become les accessible. I wish the plan was more open for strolling around.
Always a good number of movies going. Modern furniture and good slope in each room. Even kids can watch without risking someone blocking the view. Volume can be a bit high at times.
Filmstaden Umeå is located right by the river in the heart of Umeå, and is pretty much what you'd expect of any cinema outside the really big cities in Sweden. The bigger rooms are quite comfortable (some with more legroom) while the smaller ones do feel a bit too crammed.
