Small but very pratical airport.
we was 5 mins late and they deadass wouldnt let us in, so we waited there to call a taxi and after like 40 mins they said the boarding started for the plane we were supposed to take. istg getting to the boarding room would take about 10-15 mins to pass but they deadass would let us enter.

It’s small airport, but considering location it is a blessing it exists! Design is not so catchy and there is not much to do. It is not suited for a delay or long waiting. Even at winter small walk directly from the plane is must, that gives you directly impression of the the place you arrived with freezing wind in the face! But Umeå airport is efficient and stuff is nice!
Umeå airport is the most remote, northern, nordic, high-latitude and Scandinavian place that I have ever flown to with a commercial airliner. As a small airport, the experience was not great nor bad: you even have the impression of seeing all processes. It lacks some badics: there are no shops. Howver, timings are short from checking, passport control to take-off. No flight delays and you may even land slightly ahead of schedule in your destination, thanks to tailwinds. My first flight here was a charter flight (LHR-ARN-UME) and highly costly, owing to an urgent matter. Thank goodness this was part of a business trip.
