Vildmarks lodge is a wonderful place with stunning views of the river from your own lodge. The lodge is comfortable, spacious, clean and has got all the facilities you will need. The hosts are super friendly and will do everything to make it an unforgettable time for you. The location is perfect since your in the middle of nature with almost no light pollution. This was definitely one of our most memorable vacations!

Great lodges at a beautiful location (On the right side of the lake in the photo). The houses are spacious and have all comforts you need. Good price as well, and cheap if you are with multiple people (you can sleep up to eight people in one house). Hosts Karin and John are very friendly and make you feel totally welcome. Especially recommended if you travel with your furry friend (none of that special cleaning fee nonsense you get a lot in Norway and Sweden).
Big house. Extremely clean. Beautiful 180 degrees view from the house over the water. Made beds and towels up on arrival. Everything you need is in the house. We forgot something to bring with us, we asked the hosts for it and within minutes they brought it. Nice garden with a view where we made our own campfire and the grill we have used almost everyday. Hottub and sauna were fantastic, relax at the water area and after the sauna, a dip in the lake. At the beach area we have swam every morning/afternoon and we even caught some fish. We have rented canoes what we can recommend to everyone! It’s stunning there. I proposed to my girlfriend there and she said YES! The best has yet to come (accept for the proposal and the YES part of course:-) it’s comfortable, relaxed and a perfect place to recharge. We have stayed here in July 2020. All houses were full but still you have the feeling that you are alone in nature. I promised to save the best for last and those are the hosts! They gave us a very warm welcome so our holiday started when we arrived. All the small details they have thought of. We could ask for anything there was immediately a follow-up. And if they didn’t have it or know it, it was arranged anyway. The hosts have a perfect sense of what you do and don’t need and they find the right balance in attention. I work in a 4 star hotel myself, this is definitely 5 star hospitality! We wish you all the best and we have indeed created unforgettable memories. This is the place where Nora said YES.
We had a great stay and a good time at Vildmarks Lodge. Great lonely location on the lake with authentic Swedish houses. The hosts are super friendly and very accommodating! Even if the stay was only two days, we will remember it for a long time! The lodge is recommended for all ages and seasons. We celebrated a friend’s birthday there and stayed for the weekend. The hosts are really friendly and helpful. A lot of activities to keep you active: I’ve skating, sledging, ice fishing, and off course, finish the day with an outdoor hot tub and sauna. What could you ask for more?
We stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. Big lodge with nice views over the Ljusnan. We dit some fishing, canoeing, grilling and walking. It was so nice and the owners are so friendly. We are coming back.
What a lovely place. Thanks karin and john for the hospitality, the welcoming and the farewell, we felt very welcome, we spent four unforgettable days, nice place, we get what we paid for, I'm strongly recommend it.
I have stayed here with my friends in July. We had a warm welcome from Karin and John and the lodge is super big and cosy. We have used the Hottub and sauna, slackline and private beach area. We enjoyed our stay and we are definitely coming back.
