Alright hear me out. It's a 3 star review, but honestly, this is probably all you're looking for or need. Yeah yeah, you have to walk down the road to pick up your car, perhaps the car isn't the most beautiful either... BUT this place is cheap, and easy to rent a car at. I've had nightmares and extremely long times from showing up to getting the car from renting from Hertz and the like, but this isn't the case at Visby Biluthyrning. I had the car keys within 3 minutes of saying I wanted to rent a car. Legendary! No questions about it. The car got me where I wanted to go and the process was cheap and easy. What more can I ask for? So yeah, this is a 5 star review in disguise as a 3 star review. If you know what I mean.

You have to pick up the car keys at the small office in the harbour and walk about 6 minutes to the parking lot behind the big storage tanks to the south. Our car was getting us from A to B but the ABS warning light was constantly on and the airco was not really working. Shifting into third, and reverse was sometimes a bit hard so keep your expectations in check. During our visits to Visby we parked the car on the parking lot where we initially picked it up so we didn't have any parking costs. When you return the car you have to put it on the parking lot with roughly the same amount of fuel as when you picked it up, walk back to the office and drop the keys in the box attached to the side. The rental price is calculated based on 24-hour periods from the time you pick it up, so not from calendar days.
Väldigt dålig service (även för att vara på en ö).
Fantastisk service. Vi hämtade bilnyckeln precis vid färjeterminalen och killen på plats körde upp oss till parkeringen där bilen stod med vår packning. När bilen lade av mitt i veckan pga överhettat batteri bärgade de bilen inom 10 minuter och gav oss en ny samtidigt. Svarade på jourtelefonen direkt och var serviceminded. Ordnade en automatbil precis som vi önskat. Inga dolda kostnader eller liknande. Väldigt nöjd kund och kommer absolut hyra igen.
I prezzi sono molto convenienti, un noleggio costa almeno la metà delle case più note. Ovviamente le auto non sono il massimo (a me hanno dato una Passat vecchia) ma per girare Gotland vanno più che bene. La mia aveva sedili in pelle ed aria condizionata, tutto ok a parte il porta bagagli che non si apriva... L'ufficio si trova a ridosso del molo, l'auto te la vai a prendere da solo a circa 300 mt, stesso posto in cui va riconsegnata. ;Lo consiglio (per chi sa accontentarsi spendendo poco).
Biluthyrning där man får vad man betalar för. Billiga bilar och kvalitén är därefter. Men helt klart prisvärt med 350 kr/dygn. Konstigt att man inte hämtar ut och lämnar bilen fulltankad, nu får man gissa lite på hur mycket drivmedel man använt.
