Wow! What an amazing experience to see backstage at how a modern car production line works. As Volvo lovers - it made sense for us to visit but I think this would be very interesting to everyone who drives. Friendly staff, cafe and shop. Clean toilets. Easy, free parking and free WiFi available inside. Wasn’t able to take photos on the tour which is understandable. I would highly recommend you see Volvo if you are in the area. Make sure to book tour in advance on their website.

09/04/17: Wife and I came out from Milwaukie, Oregon, USA to pick up our Volvo XC90 T8 R-Design as part of the Overseas Delivery Program. The tour, the people, and the whole experience was so well worth it. Quite exciting to see how and where your vehicle was made.

Went on the blue train and it was so much fun. Interesting to see hos the car is produced from the start. I have to give a shoutout to the guide, such an amazing person.

This Factory tour was amazing, so cool to actually see the cars being constructed from sheet metal into actual cars. The process is absolutely amazing and a must do while in Gothenburg. If your a Volvo enthusiast then it is a no brainer! Also you can buy loads of cool merchandise in the visitor centre. The only down side to this is that we tried to book on 4 separate occasions in the U.K. and was told the tours were fully booked during our stay. We rocked up and asked to be booked on and hey presto they booked us in 3 days time and there was 8 people on our tour. This is naughty seeing as others have reviewed this and said up to 50 people were on their tour.

Increadibly friendly staff. I strongly encourage booking a factory tour, it's amazing to see a modern vehicle assembly plant. The size and scale of the equipment and raw materials was very impressive. Book your tour via email and make sure you are on time. You don't have to be picking up a car to go on the tour. Volvohallen is the transit stop. There's a cafe on-site, it serves hot lunch for a limited time, but there's deli items always available. It does have a library vibe, so do be quiet, as there are offices and the building is very open. There's a coat and bag room with lockers, just ask politely.

Sorry Volvo...-ve 5stars. Worst factory tour I've ever experienced and I've been to a lot of car factories...audi, bmw, Mercedes, Porsche, Lamborghini, VW, Pagani, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan. There is no interaction at all. All you do is sit on a little train and drive around and around the car body factory literally and in circles for about 30min ! and look at some robots welding a bit, a bit of body panel pressing, watch robots deliver some panels that's it! There is no walking involved. The poor family sitting in front of me were literally falling asleep whilst the tour guide prattled on. Volvo should learn a thing or two from other factory tours where you can see painting, car marriage, workers stitching, dashboards being installed amongst other things. Don't know why they even bother taking away our phones during the visit because there is nothing that's worth hiding in the body shop from prying eyes that other car tours show way more of.

Great turist stop for everyone comming to Gothenburg! Book a \blue train\ - tour through the factory in advance via e-mail; doesn't cost a penny and enjoy aprox 1 hour of guided tour in the language of your choice. One tour takes aprix 50 people, so book well in advance.

Super to do the factory tour. Amazing to see all new models being made on one production line. Wil not been the last time to come. For sure.
