Stayed here for a business seminar, meeting rooms were good. Powerful projector and comfortable chairs. The lunch was tasty and varied. Also neatly presented. Great location for a business meeting, not to far from Oslo. The summer here must be busy. Plenty of parking and 6 charging points for electric cars.

We spent two nights at the Strömstad Spa and Resort. Great place for an active stay with a lot of different activities to choose from. Ranging from golf to jet ski and everything in between. We went crab fishing and took a few great runs and walks at adjacent Nötholmen natural reserve. Epic trail run and sceneries of the archipelago. The hotel is in my view a three star facility. The Spa obviously is a nice four star touch but if you like a full service hotel with four or five star aspirations, this is not it. Welcoming staff and good breakfast, well equipped bar and restaurant but it comes short in so many different ways of being what it could be. But, that said. If visiting Strömstad and you want an active stay in a more than decent hotel with an absolute three star quality all through, it’s the place to be.
Our floor corredor smelled like fish and we heard the very loud music from the bar until very late in the nigh was very annoying, otherwise the room was very large and clean and breakfast was copious and good! Overall a bit too expensive for the quality.

Not good breakfast, but comfy rooms. We also found clothes from the visitor before behind the curtains. The spa was nice but it was a bit crowded, an enlargement of the spa would be good.
A great place on a lovely location! Ultimately really enjoyed our stay there, with only single criticism that prevents me from giving 5 stars. The venue is positioned as a premium place with premium prices, however I feel the staff didn't quite meet the premium expectation. A few members were really friendly and helpful, but many others were stand-off-ish and slow to do their jobs. There were a few hiccups in the restaurant with the servers when it came to wrong food and drink orders. Had the price tag been a little lower, this would not have been an issue at all, and in reality it was all fine. The fact that the prices are high means that the room for these funny moments is a lot slimmer than otherwise. Side bar, the room was great but the finish to the building was at a 3 star hotel level. Scuffs on walls, miss-matched skirting boards, and oddly screwed shut kitchen suit cabinets. Once again, nothing big and something that didn't detract from the stay. Just something that was curious based on the prices paid per night.
The spa was fine, not big but cosy. Luckily it was only alowd 50 people inside at every 2 hour interval so it was never overcrowded. But without there was still people everywhere. The restaurant/bar was very good, one of the best hamburgera I have eaten. The wine and cocktail list was long and the staff was very good at helping you out in the jungel of wine. The hotel room was mediocre at best. It was cold, weird spots on the sofa and not super clean. It was raining in on the balkony. The rooms were a bit skuft and worn. But your not going to the spa for the room so I can see past that. The breakfast was delicious. Different coffees, different homemade bread, omelets, waffles, pankakes, bacon, egg, Smoothie and a lot moor! Something for everyone! I do recommend!
