indeed very very family friendly place :) very friendly staff at the reception. The cottage house was very nice, well equipped and cozy! Lots of people/families biking everywhere! Perfect place to take a summer break and enjoy walks or hiking around in the nature. Beautiful lake and surroundings!
Very nice place and family friendly. The bike trails are a bit too hilly for the smallest riders. So I would say for biking a minimum 24 inch bike is what is needed for the trails. There are alot of other acivities so there is always something to do. For skiing the actual lifts are 2 km away from the hotel. The skiing mountain is not very big so maybe a little too simple for experienced skiers.
We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children (8,6 and 2 years old), stayed in the 2nd week of January in a wonderful cottage with sauna. It is a Great ski resort, great service for a very reasonable compatative price compared to other ski resorts in Sweden. Just 3 hours from Stockholm. People who work here are always tried and solved our any question, starting from booking, location of cottage, ski school and ski rental. Just an example of small but useful thing: you don’t need to stay near the equipment entail waiting for your queue: you can register in the queue from mobile and track your queue number remotey, so you can do other things with children ; Marketing of this resort is great: PLENTY different offers: lifcard with free cottage, ski school 3 days for 695 SEK (Sälen offer 990 for just one hour group training), last minuters offers, and many others. We will defiantly and hope that we will come here again in the nearest future. Children and parents were happy) all 3 kids started to ski here already on the first day. This is a place where you can easily spent 3-4 nights with your friends and family. Great place for biking. Options for boat, etc. Are also available. There are privately owned cottages (stuga) with grest facilities. The prices for these activities are little high.
Great! Lots of walking and biking routes starting from the resort. Great food at the restaurant and nice staff. Housing is okay, modern look but could be a little cleaner.
Rented a beautiful stuga for four nights and had a wonderful stay. The stuga was well equipped and the reception had some good suggestions for things to do in the area.
