I have banked at SEB for years and was extremely unhappy with them so on my way home to Denmark I popped into the branch inquired about setting up an account and moving my assets for SEB. The way that there bankers treated me was extremely rascist. I had to provide 4 different types of IDs as well as proof that I am allowed to be in Sweden which is insulting due to the fact I lived in Sweden for many years. I have told all my friend who study at Lund University and in Stockholm to avoid Nordea because of how rascist they are against people that in their minds don't look Swedish. That's what there banker told me.

I went to Nordea twice now to open a bank account. The first time they said they needed a Swedish ID card. A month later both my university and their telephone customer service told me I can open a bank account with only a personnumber. When I went the teller refused even though I told her about my RECORDED phone call with their customer service. All she had to say was “well they gave you false information”. Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. I went to SEB Lund and they were more than happy to help me with just my personnumber, residence permit and notification of selection results.
Horrible bank and customer service. I waited an hour to get help after I got a message my card was blocked and no one answered the number I was told to call. Literally watched one clerk straighten his post it notes and pens for 5 minutes with a lobby full of people. Once helped they were shrill and nasty
Apparently they are not interested in getting new customers if you are the least bit on-standard\. Fortunately other banks don't have that problem. So - bye, bye Nordea, Lund.
For your own sake, do not become a customer of this bank. I wish I could rate it zero stars!
good service but wiring is a little too long sometimes
Everything is bad espicially the workers
Probably the worst bank in Sweden. Not even following GDPR. Avoid at all costs.
