Mekaniker som inte ser skillnad på ett BSA 68 vevlager och ett italienskt 70 lager som knappt passar någon cykel. På vevlager med BSA gängor står det 1.37x24 BSA är vänstergängat på samma sida som kedjan. Ett BSA-vevlager är antingen 68 mm eller 73 mm långt (finns bredare versioner) På vevlager med ITA gängor står det 36x24 ITA är högergängat på båda sidorna som orsakar att lagret skruvas ut när du cyklar om du inte har skruvat åt det stenhårt med gänglåsning. Ett ITA-vevlager är alltid 70 mm brett.
